Most aesthetic and IPL systems will employ a flow tube that the lamp(s) will sit in. The flow tube allows water to flow across the surface of the lamp enabling the lamp to be cooled during its operation. It is very important to use the correct sized flow tube to allow the correct flow of water to maintain the correct cooling, if this is not maintain correctly and the lamp starts to overheat the lifetime of the lamp could be greatly reduced. Flow tubes are typically made from CFQ (Clear Fused Quartz), CDQ (Cerium Doped Quartz), Pyrex or borosilicate glass. First Light Lamps are able to offer all types and sizes of flow tubes.
